Getting started
Do I need to create an account?
No. Babyoo has no accounts and no sign-up. Open the app, add your baby, and start logging.
Can I track more than one baby?
Yes. Tap your baby's name at the top of the Today screen and choose Add Baby, or go to Me → Add Baby. Each baby has their own records, which works well for siblings and twins.
How do I log something quickly?
Tap a category card on the home screen (Feeding, Diaper, Sleep, Health) to open it, then tap a type. Diapers are logged with one tap, and you can undo right away if you tapped by mistake. Tap All Records to browse or search every record type.
What can I record?
19 kinds of records: breastfeeding (left and right timer or manual entry), bottle feeding, pumping, solid foods, diapers, sleep (with a timer or added afterwards), wake-ups, tummy time, baths, moods, symptoms, temperature, medication, vaccines, doctor visits, growth (weight, length and head circumference), milestones, photo diary entries with up to 4 photos, and custom events.
I forgot to start the timer. Can I add a feeding or nap afterwards?
Yes. Breastfeeding and sleep can be added afterwards by entering the start and end times.
Can I change units?
Yes. In Settings you can switch between ml and oz, °C and °F, kg and lb, and cm and in.
Reminders, widgets and Siri
How do reminders work?
Tap the bell on a home card (for example Feeding) and turn the reminder on. Babyoo reminds you when a set time has passed since the last record, for example 3 hours after the last feed; logging a new feed restarts the countdown. Reminders are local notifications on your iPhone. If you don't get them, check iOS Settings → Notifications → Babyoo.
How do I add a widget?
Touch and hold the Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget, and choose Babyoo: Today, Since Last Feed (also for the Lock Screen) or Quick Log.
Can I see the timer on my Lock Screen?
Yes. When a breastfeeding, pumping, sleep or tummy time timer is running, it appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island on supported iPhones, where you can switch sides or stop it. You can turn Live Activities off for Babyoo in iOS Settings.
Can I hide my baby's name on the Lock Screen?
Yes. Go to Settings → Lock Screen & Dynamic Island and turn on Hide Baby’s Name and Details on Lock Screen.
Can I use Siri?
Yes. Try "Log a diaper in Babyoo", "Start feeding in Babyoo", "Stop feeding in Babyoo" or "When was the last feeding in Babyoo". You'll also find Babyoo actions in the Shortcuts app, and on iOS 18 or later you can add Babyoo controls to Control Center.
Care tab
What is in the Care tab?
This Stage (what's typical at your baby's age), Daily Rhythm, Busy Phases, Vaccine Schedule (US CDC or China's national program), Milk Stash, Badges, Common Situations, Prepare Questions and Guides.
Where does the care information come from?
It is general information written for Babyoo from public health sources such as the CDC, NIH and AAP HealthyChildren. Each article and tip lists its sources. It has not been reviewed by a pediatrician yet, and it doesn't replace one.
What does Prepare Questions do?
It gathers your baby's age and recent records into a text note on your iPhone, so you can bring it to your doctor. Babyoo doesn't send it anywhere or use any AI service. If you copy it into another app, that app's privacy policy applies.
Your data
Where is my data stored?
Only on your iPhone, in storage shared only with Babyoo's own widgets. Babyoo 1.0 does not upload your records to any server and does not sync them through iCloud. We cannot see your data. Details: Privacy Policy.
Does Babyoo sync between my partner's iPhone and mine?
Not in version 1.0. Records stay on the iPhone where they were entered. We're working on sharing for a future update.
Will I lose my records if I get a new iPhone?
Babyoo's data is included in your iPhone's backup, like other apps. If you restore your new iPhone from an iCloud Backup or a backup on your computer, your records come with it. To keep a copy of your own, export your records as CSV regularly.
How do I export my records?
Go to Settings and choose the CSV export, then save or send the file with the share sheet. The file goes only where you choose.
How do I delete my data?
- One record: delete it from the timeline or its detail page (its diary photos are deleted too).
- One baby: Me, swipe left on the baby and delete.
- Everything: Settings → Delete All Data. This permanently erases all babies, records, photos and care data in Babyoo on this iPhone, and clears widgets and Live Activities.
- Deleting the app also removes all of its data from your iPhone.
Because your data never reaches us, we cannot restore deleted records.
Health and growth
Is Babyoo medical advice?
No. Babyoo is a record-keeping tool. Its guides and tips are general information with signs for when to call a doctor; they are not a diagnosis. Growth charts and percentiles are for reference only. Always ask your pediatrician about your child's health, and call emergency services in an emergency.
Where do the growth chart reference lines come from?
The reference lines are based on the WHO Child Growth Standards. The source and attribution are shown in the app.
Does it use Apple Health?
No. Babyoo does not read from or write to Apple Health.
